What are cookies?

Cookies are small values a website may store in a browser. They can support sessions, account security, preferences and, where permitted, analytics.

VerFinder statistics cookies

The installed first-party statistics component supports the names vf_visitor and vf_session for pseudonymous visitor and session recognition. It also supports a consent state named vf_stats_consent. Whether these are set depends on the active statistics mode and the visitor’s applicable consent.

WordPress and language preferences

WordPress may use technical cookies for logged-in administrators and other functions. Language selection can also rely on browser-side preferences. These are distinct from advertising identifiers.

Consent and optional tracking

Non-essential cookies and comparable tracking should be used only on the appropriate legal basis and with consent where required. The site’s actual consent interface and cookie inventory must be verified against deployed settings.

Managing cookies

You can inspect, block or delete cookies in your browser’s privacy settings. Blocking essential site storage can affect login, preferences or other functions. Changing browser settings does not erase information already stored on the server.

Further information

Read the privacy information for possible personal-data processing and the legal notice for the publisher’s identification status. The exact cookie list, lifespan and providers require an up-to-date site audit.
